Does your organization have a crisis communication plan? Every organization I've ever joined hasn't had a crisis communication plan, and I have to try to convince them that one is needed. I thought having a crisis communication plan was an industry standard.

I have mostly been at smaller companies, so I believe that contributes to it as well. Rare occasion when they have one already. Always underestimating or assuming one will never be needed. Just a good safety precaution, because you never know.

No. I have an MA in PR but have never worked at a company that had one, and had little success convincing them that they needed one.

Mine doesn't. We're small enough that I don't think it'd be worth the effort to create. Even if you do have a general game plan, every crisis is unique and will require time and collaboration to determine the best way to address it. I don't think having a plan you have to tweak saves all that much time in the long run. Just look at the Coldplay/Astronomer scandal. No amount of pre-planning could've prepared their team to deal with it.

we have a tentative crisis, communication plan. I don’t love it, but if something happened, I think I could work on the fly.

This post is an alert message for anyone joining the Johnson & Johnson EMEA account for SAP & had Rakesh Sharma for their Manager round.

He is nothing less than a con man & will promise you a lot to make you join the account. After that he will put you in testing projects. If you ask for a release, he will either not release you or release with a very bad rating and influence other project managers to not take you into their projects.

You will be left with no choice other than leaving TCS.

Interviewing at a dream company, and right from the first interview the recruiter told me we are way off on salary expectations. This was a little bit expected, as the role is requiring a few years less experience than I have and also in a much cheaper market. They already told me the salary range during this first call, but wondering if they like me enough and I get an offer, how I might approach negotiating for more. I would be making much less than I do now, but it is a dream company.
