99.99999% of recruiters on LinkedIn state they prefer the boring, easy to read version. Unless you’re going for a creative role (NOT accounting lol) then I suggest not using one
Unless you’re in a creative field “modern” resumes just work against you. 80% no one cares, 20%+ someone is going to roll their eyes at you for needing to be different.

You first need to understand what the AI resume screener will like
The best rule of thumb is the more basic the better. Use standard fonts, don't get carried away with boldfacing, and make sure it's not just a wall of unbroken text. People looking at it will skim and scan. And you have to make it easy for their eyes to move down the page and catch the pertinent points. And eschew any kind of clever formatting, an automated system may trip over it.

Traditional and easy to read goes a lot further today. Wasn’t too long ago I was reading about how the ATS reads through headings and having to take that into consideration. It needs to be easy for human eyes and however the automated systems are reading it. Keep it simple, but depending on what modem means, might still look and read nice.
