During the interview, my reporting manager told me that I need to relocate to the city where the Job is, now that I've accepted the offer, can I ask to be remote and if it cannot be granted, can I back up from the offer?

You can rescind your acceptance at any time, just like they can rescind the offer at any time.

It reflects poorly on you, it’s a dumb thing to do, and this in particular is a spectacularly stupid way to torch your professional reputation as well as wasting everyone’s time, but that’s not illegal.

It’s even more reprehensible when employers yank offers, and reputable companies don’t do it. We didn’t, last year, not even in the depths of the pandemic.

But even bad companies don’t extend offers intending to renege on them.

Yes. They are also free to fire you.

Why did you accept if you didn’t want to move and they told you that remote wasn’t possible?

like

You know what the expectations were... you can do this, but if you waated my time like this, I would take back offer

like

You can back out.

Yes u can do it

This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up? How many tries did it take?

Considering short time-frame to prepare, which strategy should I follow? Are these styles very different?

Should I do some DS/ML or cloud(azure/gcp) courses? If yes, suggest some.
I get calls for python but they demand scraping & webdev(selenium/bs/django/flask) which I have no interest in.
Can someone guide?
Also, what are the best BI roles I can go for & how?
Thanks
