Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Maybe it’s just me but.....More responsibility for the same pay? Have to prove yourself over again at a new firm? Volatile market? I’d stay put.
For the same money, move on to take the title. Also, why stay with a firm that is passing you up for promotion when another firm clearly can see the value?
Bad advice. Stay and move to another 4
You have no guarantee for manager at KPMG next year so take the title and if you want to come back in the future do it

Stay. Although you'll have a title, that won't pay the bills, and your exit options won't be as good (assuming boutique is not a brand name). And next year when your current colleagues get promoted with more salary you will be unhappy and want to leave and will have to answer the question of why job hunt after barely a year at the boutique.

Stay put you at least have job security with KPMG. I would keep applying to jobs tho either you get a new job or promoted this year hopefully
I know people at 5 years from college and still not managers. These companies do not reward loyalty.
Yeah sometimes you have to earn the position.
SC 1 totally agree! Changing jobs is hard In the first place. A whole new culture to learn, a new network to build, and you’re doing a job that requires more for the same pay. I’d stay where you are at and look for something that pays more.
Stay and keep looking. A title is just words. Compensation is compensation. Go for the skills and comp. Don’t settle without multiple data points and for that matter do not rush.
Stay and keep looking while you try to make manager again. It takes most people 3 years at SA to make manager in my experience.
Thanks everyone for the advice. I think I'm on the same page... makes sense to wait it out and try for manager again while also applying for other manager roles, especially if the comp is the same
