Estimated salary for counsel at a large turnkey real estate, architecture, and engineering company that generates around 9-10 billion in revenue? St. Louis/Kansas City region. I got a $160k base offer. Is that reasonable? 3 years experience.

very good pay for junior level experience at a secondary market. whats the bonus and other comp looking like

like

Very reasonable for YOE and location in my opinion. I got 120k with 20% bonus 4 years ago, same YOE and also a “middle America” location. Check other comp too though, bonus, 401k, etc and also benefits.

I had a slightly higher offer then but with only 2 weeks PTO and my current company offers 4 weeks. I took the 10k less for an extra 2 weeks off and seemingly better culture.

What's your background? Biglaw?

Litigation- Midsize - AM 200

That’s not horrible for that part of the country depending on billables.

Seems reasonable. I left for 185 + 20% bonus as a 7th yr VHCOL to a large manufacturing group with similar revenues based in the Midwest

I agree it’s reasonable. I’m in the field and have a ton more experience (10 YOE) and started at $200k base with a higher COL.

What year did you start?

I started a full time in-house design job that pays extremely well. I barely have to work at all. This makes me very confused since I kept hearing stories of people working 60+ hr weeks as designers at ad agencies. I am not complaining, but I have this creeping irrational feeling that I’ll get fired for not working even though there’s nothing for me to do. Should i be making up projects or asking for more work? Or just chill out? I just feel very confused. Are a lot of full time jobs like this?

If you practice collections in-house, what do you earn and do you receive a bonus?

I have practiced for five years and make $121k as an employee of a financial services company. As the only attorney, I oversee all statewide collections efforts, from demand letter to garnishment, with a case volume of nearly 7k new cases per year, of which the majority I end up litigating. I receive only a $1k bonus per year. Is my compensation fair? My last insurance defense gig was $75k.

Anyone ever considered contractor gig in Meta/Facebook or any other big players in tech? I'm full-time in a smaller company and it's pretty stable. Wondering if the move could be worthwhile. Can anyone help me wrap my head around this post Series C start-up equity offer? It’s an IP director position, the the base is $170 with 10% bonus (both lower than I was expecting). There’s also an equity component: 0.15% of current fully diluted equity. This equates to about 30000 shares at a strike price of $2. They also indicate the preferred stock price is $6 and preferred stock equity is $188k (whatever that means). They are in the middle of a new financing and valuation round.

NFW- I just had a good laugh.
