I have been researching into this these days and there is literature that shares how lending worked in pre-Islamic Arabia. When the time to pay back a loan came, the lender would ask "would you pay or will you increase?" And that increase was usually doubling the loan. Subsequently ever year the loan wasn't paid it was doubled from the previous year.

How do you deal with a Midlevel who tells the partner you’ll cover for them, but gives you less than 24 hours notice they’ll be gone without asking if you can cover? Has anyone had roommates who got sick with Covid and they managed to not catch it from them? If so, what precautions did you take? We have a good relationship and so far he’s been staying in his room and using a mask whenever he needs to use the restroom or grab water from the kitchen.
