Good to see you’re still drinking the koolaide EY6. In real life you’re allowed to use other teams work papers, google, etc. there’s no difference in getting Pointless WBL answers from coworkers. If you want a cookie for doing them yourself and wasting your weekends and nights doing them I feel sorry for you
Haha this thread is sad
I have given and received answers on a ton of WBLs. I was in training during that webcast and everyone at my table was still sharing answers. Management has their head so far up their ass, no I don’t have time for 20 hours of WBLs a month on top of other work responsibilities and I’m fucking not doing them on my weekend
You do realize if they actually fired people for cheating then over half the firm would be gone right?
What I don’t see an email.
who sent the message
I don’t see an email.... who was it from?
Again, then your missing the point. 1/2 of these are for PCAOB compliance reports. Using others judgment and knowledge only detracts from you learning yourself. It’s an educational demand. Yes in life you have team members but you can’t contribute to a team if you just use their answers and judgment. Your cutting your nose to spite your face. What you call wasting my nights and weekends I call investing in my career. Do you really want to have to explain to your next employer you got fired for cheating on a WBL because you wouldn’t spend an hour of your time doing it yourself?
I think that number is a bit high but yes it would be a large number. It’s about integrity. They should get rid of cheaters. It’s bad culturally to have that around.
I think EY5 and 6 are being a bit extreme. EY6 you said in your original post that you have helped people with answers, by the sound of the message that was given in the webcast you would be considered a cheater. Should we get rid of you? And on the opposite end EY6 is saying he/she should be able to plug the answers in without any work because it's pointless - I disagree there is definitely a purpose for these learnings. The firm just needs to get rid of any ambiguity on the subject. When we have trainers encouraging staff-seniors to help each other on the training assessments it creates a culture of collaborative test taking and makes it seem like that's okay. The firm needs to make up their mind on this stuff.
Never done that internally, but for all the mandatory client trainings...
It was in the quality matters webcast and then they also sent a voicemail about it
Then your missing the point EY5. I’m not happy about them but I do them and I do them on my own. Sure if a colleague asks A question I’ll help but we all do it solo. And believe me I work more than you. Not a badge of pride or accomplishment but a fact.
