Our Philadelphia-area boutique firm whose practice works exclusively with nonprofits and charities is hiring due to growth. Tax is the basis of Exempt Org work. That is why I am posting here. Great practice working to further charitable missions of our clients. Good WLB (1300 hour billable requirement). Opportunity for the right person to work remotely. Can you mute notifications on the weekend so you don't see them even if he sends them?

Damn, that really sucks
I get Sunday afternoon text messages reminding me of an 830am Monday meeting agenda. If I don’t respond, I get hourly follow ups asking if I received the last text.
Cross your fingers I get one of the jobs from the 4 interviews I have.
Just speak to them about it instead of ranting to strangers on a social app.
The OP can do both. Probably was interested in hearing other people’s opinion or there personal experiences dealing with something similar, not sure what’s wrong with posting this
I had a coworker at my previous job at a small company work overtime more than everyone else and sent emails out every weekend expecting people to answer and get things done then complain there’s too much work
Do they just post, or do they demand that you work on the weekends? Assuming the former, I would generally consider it like email: They are free to send messages whenever they want, but they should not expect you to reply during the weekend unless you are explicitly part of a weekend shift.
^ This! If they didn’t clarify which one it is, I would just ask. I’ve had managers in the past explicitly say that they send emails / pings on the weekend because the work week feels too busy for them to put thoughts down but they don’t expect me to respond / address. Hopefully that helps! Good luck @OP
I do this because all of the sudden on a weekend day something pops up in my head that will have to be done and I send it to our team slack through my phone so it’s there for Monday. I’ve told my team nothing needs to be responded to on the weekends unless I reach out to them by phone saying it’s unbelievable urgent. I don’t get notifications from others and I didn’t think they did from me
