Hey at least you had a shirt on! I had nightmares at the beginning of Covid of my camera turning on when it shouldn’t haha. I eventually got used to remote work and don’t have that fear. Now I fear going to the office 🤣🤣
Feel this so much. Every once in a while I'll have a day after WFH and say something/do something then have to check my work devices to make sure I left the last meeting successfully.

This is a non issue at the micro level. Macro, you have some terrible insecurities that you are holding onto. The fact that the wrong shirt made you so self conscious that you came to a strangers forum for reassurance speaks to:
1. You haven’t been doing a good job to date, 2. You are unclear on your role or uncertain about your leader
3. You’re new and have been micromanaged your whole life by your parents that now you’re identifying and criticizing yourself for the smallest impropriety
One of those three reasons is why you’re here. Figure it out and fix it. Fast. Otherwise, you’ll be unemployed, single, and/or dead in the next 5 years.
When I was 29, I got on a Friday morning call with a female manager (I’m a dude). In my very hungover state, I did not realize my video was on. Five seconds into the call, she said “hey, your camera is on”. Turns out, I did not put a shirt on after getting out of bed and walking to my living room. T-shirt > no shirt.
Previously I used to give a sh!t. These days I just roll in in whatever- Hawaiian, Floral print, Pineapples, hoodies whatever. The rest of my team still wears bland formals. (I do kick ass on my project so nobody cares what I wear)

Literally my client joked today about someone getting up on camera and he said “hey, at least you have pants on”
