Stop?
See if you can reallocate work so that your deliverables aren't dependent on theirs.
If that's not possible, loop in your manager. When you're doing daily check-ins, confirm and reconfirm who will deliver what by when. And follow up with an email if need be. Micromanaging sucks for all involved, but unfortunately some colleagues don't pull their weight without it.
Address this directly with them. We are all adults, your peer should be able to handle the conversation, but if not then escalate. If you just take on their work they will be happy to continue to let you do so.
Let your manager know. It will be a conversation and maybe you don’t have full context of why this is happening. Most managers don’t know everything that’s happening below them and they will appreciate the honesty
Sounds like college all over again
Thanks everyone. I am trying to push back more with her when she gives me unfinished/unusable work. So far she hasnt stepped up, so maybe ill have a more honest conversation with her in the next weeks so she has a chance to get it together before i go to the team lead. How silly that this is a real issue at this point in our lives.
