My aunt recently passed away, leaving behind 2 young girls (16 and 12 years old). I’m trying my best to be there for them and pray for them, and have been asking people to pray for them as well. Until I started question what is the point of asking people to pray for them? I know God hears my prayers, so why do we ask people to pray ?

Yet another friend/colleague got engaged this weekend. It’s become impossible to celebrate people’s relationships. I’m a POC woman and I’ve been single since coming to the US 10 yrs ago. A handful of men have been interested but they were not Christian or back in my country. So many childless, single women in my church and I’m terrified I’ll be them soon. I need advice. I'm a non-denominational, pretty moderate Christian. My parents are loving people, but also very evangelical and Trump-endorsing. It's a struggle dealing with their black / white views.

I just found out I am pregnant and the person is not a believer. I know i have sinned, and now i am so lost. Abortion has crossed my mind multiple times. Not sure what i am doing posting here, I just needed to vent.

I pray everyone is settled in this trying time. I hope we maintain faith in God WHILE using His Wisdom at the same time. Remember we should not walk in fear/ paranoia. Take the proper precautions

How does anyone keep time well for prayer and meditation while fully giving yourself to family and work in this economy?

One can imagine work here as meant in the maximum of work vs life here.

I know people who are constantly crashing and that’s without the set time for prayer. And despite hearts or gold, obvious piety and a high work ethic.

Any recommendations for a church in Manhattan or easy commute from Midtown Manhattan? I live in Kips Bay and new to the States. Honestly, I know if it is too far away, I won’t consistently attend.
