I’m at a firm with 12 lawyers, I’m a 6th year, 1750 requirement, and I make $175k base (probably $30k bonus). My firm is playing around with hours requirements, and I think we’re on the mid to high side for a firm our size and not paying anywhere near big law salaries.

(For example, “ready when reached”). I’m open to doing this and this attorney is asking what my fee would be? I'm having two 2nd-to-last rounds for non-G FAANGs this week, but I haven't heard if/when I am advancing in interviews for 2 different roles at G that I last interviewed or phone screened for 2 weeks ago. Mid-level associate at a mid-size regional insurance defense firm practicing coverage litigation. Salary is capped b/c my firm only does I.D./coverage and has no direct-hire comm clients. Second round of interviews with a comm lit boutique where I would be the only associate with 5 partners. What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now.
