Firm size, YOE, billable hour requirement, and salary? Most interested in hearing from boutique/lifestyle firm lawyers. I’m at a firm with 12 lawyers, I’m a 6th year, 1750 requirement, and I make $175k base (probably $30k bonus). My firm is playing around with hours requirements, and I think we’re on the mid to high side for a firm our size and not paying anywhere near big law salaries.

My firm has 99,000 lawyers, I’m a 1st year, 3003 billable hour requirement, base is 559.1.2.5, bonus is ::::::::::), I don’t work there but rather catch frogs

I am in a firm 550+ lawyers, 1800 billable hours. $175k base. $40k bonus. 5 years of experience.

30 attorneys, insurance defense, 8 years of experience, NYC, 1850 hours for bonus, additional bonuses after you meet certain numbers, $205k base.

like

25 attorneys, 1800 hours, 7 yoe, 250K base, negligible bonus (like 12K)

These numbers make me want to stay in big law.

Idk man, I’m pretty dang happy with my position. 1700 hours, fully remote, and 200k as 4th year. The wlb is worth it for me by a long shot

About 27 attorneys, 1900 hours requirement (but lots of people have alternative arrangements), I have $300k base as a 7th year, plus bonus (there is an hours based bonus and a discretionary. Last year my bonus was close to $45k total)

What kind of law?

My prior firm: 100 attorneys, 4 YOE, no billable hour requirement and I worked about 35 hours/week on average, $132k. Business immigration firm but my paltry workload was by no means the norm for that industry. I moved a few months ago to an in-house contract role for $90/hour.

Young solo here w/ a question about fees: 1. A local solo criminal defense attorney has offered to pay me to go and make appearances before the Court on some of her cases to make announcements. (For example, “ready when reached”). I’m open to doing this and this attorney is asking what my fee would be? Does anyone have thoughts or opinions on what a reasonable fee would be to do something like this? Hourly? Flat Fee? 2. I want to ensure this is ethical. I don’t see an issue with this. Thoughts?

Mid-level associate at a mid-size regional insurance defense firm practicing coverage litigation. Salary is capped b/c my firm only does I.D./coverage and has no direct-hire comm clients. Second round of interviews with a comm lit boutique where I would be the only associate with 5 partners. Other than partner track, salary/benefits, and switching from coverage to general comm lit, what qualities of the move should I be thinking about as I weigh my options? I've never worked at another firm.
