I was interviewed at EY UK on 7th Sep. It was quite smooth. Since then I haven't heard anything back from them though interviewer claimed SLA to get back with outcome of interview is 48 hours. On portal it still says I'm in hiring team phase. It was level 1 interview.
Should I take this delay as rejection?
Hi there, I have 3.5 YOE working for NHS Finance. I applied to Deloitte Risk Advisory, Public Sector (London, UK) and was successful. Waiting to hear back with package offer but it’s been over 2 weeks - was told they may offer M2 grade, any ideas what this is?
I’m also interviewing for Senior consultant role also at Deloitte. How much would this typically pay?
Torn whether to stay within NHS as I will be getting an internal promotion or move to Deloitte.
What’s the WLB like? Good job security?

If the paternity leave is meaningful, and you’ve built up goodwill and political capital at your firm, I would stay for now.
You don’t want to be trying to prove yourself at work when you’re trying to figure out how to be a father. Use that goodwill to buy yourself some WLB in year 1.
Generally speaking this is very valuable advice. Listen to it unless you are cold-hearted enough to achieve your professional aspirations (not-judging, I am the latter and ignored this advice more than once).

Agree with MD1, and since my firm allows 3 months of internal roles with no cut to pay I’ve barely worked past 5 since finishing leave in December
Most firms (like mine) will hire you and you can immediately take leave so I don’t think you have to NOT look right now. If you hate your job and 100% going to move on, you have way more time now then you will after the kid is born. Just make sure you find a firm that gives you some leave so that’s not off the table.
The first year is a doozy though. So just balance how you will react to starting somewhere new (are you ok coasting a little at a new place? Prioritizing family) versus your current work life balance. If you aren’t mentally stimulated today but your WLB is fine, I would absolutely stay put. If current job is soul crushing hours and won’t change after taking leave, it’s worth looking now IMO.
