I recently applied to the Content Designer, 2023 Graduate remote role at Atlassian and I'd appreciate it if I could get a referral.
Here are some details to aid in your decision-making:
- Last summer, I worked at Google as a UX Content Design Intern.
- I am currently in a grad program at
NYU and will graduate in Spring 2023.
- Before graduate school, I spent 3+ years as a Copywriter in Advertising.
I'd really appreciate any recommendation I can get at this time.

2nd largest marketing group in the world. Making a conscious push into the management consulting space with Sapient, and vertical integration of ad networks/data tracking with Epsilon. Internally working hard on cross-agency staffing and organic growth. That turned out to be a great bet - we laid off far less people during COVID than the other big advertising giants, and our COVID recovery/growth has been significantly stronger. The weaker business units tend to be the traditional “creative” agencies and you hear those people gripe a lot about our reduced spending on Cannes (a dying model anyways) and awards seasons.
Extremely thoughtful about improving staff morale and culture with very significant global investment and attention towards the BLM movement, Pride, and other diversity concerns. For example, in two weeks we will have a global stop-work for an entire day to facilitate a symposium on diversity inequality and what we can do individually and as a group. Also we’re putting up our own vaccination clinics and support programs for India. There’s a real emphasis from the very top that employees need more than a paycheck.

Few of us have much interaction with the “Groupe” outside of shared services (IT, benefits, etc) and senior leadership. Presumably there’s dedicated teams for the M&A activities the Groupe is always pursuing.
Bad for creatives. I can see how it be good for number crunchers, though. Which is why it’s bad for creatives.
