For recruiters that work at large and prestigious multinational companies-

Is a candidate (who obviously had a great enough résumé for you to want to interview them already) more attractive to you during the interview process if they are currently interviewing for other prestigious companies like Goldman, McKinsey, etc?

Will that make you move faster with that candidate?

If none of these are true, why do you guys ask if they’re interviewing other places?

Need your inputs, I have experience in Java Automation for past 2 years.. now my yet join company is using Ruby for Automation. Not a big deal in learning about ruby. Only worried about that if I continue here, in process of learning ruby I might have unlearn java. If I need to come out then openings on Automation with ruby in the market is pretty much less I think..

I relocated with my family to Ireland recently, one month ago, and while I got a lot of screening calls with recruiters, I did not hear back from any of them after our interview. I am still on the process of getting my work permit and I am very clear about this during the interviews, but I suspect that this is the reason why I am not getting any call back. Any tips on the first screening call with recruiters? Should I touch base with them after our interviews?
