For the ladies that don’t have kids, would it bother you if your husband spent every Saturday golfing and then staying out with his friends that night til like 10pm? Mine is literally gone every Saturday for like 12 hours, with his fellow buddies that don’t have kids. We have a date night 3-4x per month at nice restaurants. But I feel like the men in our circles with kids respect their wives so much more and would never be gone all day/night like this.

It wouldn't really bother me because I'm usually busy doing my own thing on the weekends. But the fact that it bothers you is enough of a reason to bring it up. Have you had this conversation with him before? I think it's only disrespectful if you've expressed your feelings and he disregards them.

It wouldn't bother me but that is because I have my own hobbies and things to keep me busy on Saturdays. If you want to spend time with him then I would talk to him about it. Maybe every other Saturday would be a good compromise.

How do I negotiate for a higher starting level? I have 5 years of experience and they told me I would be either L4/L5 but now I’m hearing it’s between L3/L4. I love google and I want to work here but I don’t think I could come in at L3. This is for SWE and onsites went very well

Had a first round interview scheduled for a large CPG brand. My interviewer never called me, and I emailed following up to confirm the call. It’s been over a day and no response. What is going on with recruiters? I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt, but not even an email back saying “something came up” or “we’ve moved on” ? I’ve been ghosted after every final interview during my recent job search, but never had I been ghosted before even having the first call??

It wouldn't bother me but that is because I have my own hobbies and things to keep me busy on Saturdays. If you want to spend time with him then I would talk to him about it. Maybe every other Saturday would be a good compromise.
