I am with you. AI is bad at creating. It’s bad at being factual. It’s bad at math. I’m having trouble figuring out what it’s good for.
I made a similar observation in another bowl, look at the replies:

Because as far as agency C-suites and clients are concerned it doesn’t have to be great. It just needs to be “good enough” to lay people off and kick more profits to leadership bonuses and shareholders. That’s why it will replace us.
Everything has gone the way of good enough.
Remember good is the enemy of great.
In my professional opinion, it is 95% human error on your part.
Learn how to prompt AI correctly.
It’s not remotely cheaper, faster or better - the amount of prompting that goes in to a simple boardomatic for testing probably gulps up enough water to fill the Great Lakes.
i don’t think the goal of ai is to replace everyone
but it will help a lot of good people get faster & better, if they spend a bit bit of time getting the most out of it
I think the sooner you think of AI as an agent to help you get to better results faster, not the ‘creative’ that is meant to create the work itself, the better relationship you will have with it. It’s good for brainstorming, rough drafts, figuring out complex software, inspiration - but yes it sucks and probably always will at creating the finalized ‘work’. Luckily us humans still have taste and judgement to save us, at least some us anyway.
It’s better when you use it like your personal assistant- look up this, how does X work, what are the the top 10 facts about Y that no one knows, has anything like Z ever been done in advertising or creative campaigns, etc
Ai is only good for organizing your own thoughts and gathering insights (you have to verify). It hasn’t done anything creative for me successfully.

It has a lot of flaws to be sure. But it's getting better every day....
Reject it at your own peril - 90% is terrible but if you know what you’re doing you can get good stuff out. And just rejecting it blind you risk missing the potential while rejecting the usual.
Like when photoshop was first released….
