What ya’ll know about SS+K?
Ladies & Gentlemen, with one month left in Q2, some will fall short of our numbers. Others will hit them. I can’t speak for all of us here, however, I can speak for myself. That being said, I will NOT be one that comes up short of my number. Now, this leads me to you all, to present a question. If you have to prospect, if you’re looking for new business, is it worth $1500 to put 95% of your prospecting process on autopilot? If so, let’s chat.
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
To those who have several years of experience ion TA: Do you think staying in the campus recruiting space limits you? Should one try to get exposure to other HR areas for the long run?
Would you ask for a higher pay at a startup, due to the company not having a pension scheme for its employees?
How long does it take to get over ptsd from being in a toxic micromanaging environment? I was a top biller and top manager at a large staffing company for five years and was treated like a child. The place was crazy. Six months into my new role I’m still scared to request PTO or afraid that my boss would be mad if she found that I took an afternoon break to walk my dog.
Looking for ideas on how other companies are celebrating and recognizing diversity holidays like LGBT pride month Juneteenth black history month women’s history month etc.Not just days off
Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!
CA Law question. What are you doing with arbitration agreements? Interested to hear from everyone, and from securities industry too! We didn’t hire since January, but want to start next year, and the whole AB 51 thing is confusing.
Anyone here a member of Revenue Collective? Is it worth it? What kind of value have you gotten out of it if so? Thanks!
How long, on average, did it take you to study before you could pass the PHR/SPHR exam? Did you think it was worth it?
Hi there! I need some guidance. HR and global leadership rolled out some amazing new initiatives like not starting until 10 am on Mondays, no meeting Fridays and required 2 additional summer days a month. The problem is, my boss refuses to comply with the initiatives. He constantly scheduled meetings before 8 am on Mondays and after 7 pm on Fridays. He also doesn’t let me take time off. Should I go to HR? I’m really not one to complain but I’m tired and extremely burnt out. Thanks for your help!
Any female MM/ENT AEs with SaaS or Fintech experience looking to make a move? Series D company positioned to IPO in 2 years. Would be wild if this works lol
Can anyone recommend a certificate or course that is actually useful for developing professionals and/or reviewing performance? I don’t want/need something that is just a credential, I’m actually looking to get some formal grounding in these two topics so I can overhaul processes at my consulting firm. Thanks for your advice!!!
Currently, I have an employee who is struggling. Missing deadlines, making false promises to clients etc. Recently, I sat in one of his development sessions with his manager, and I was shocked at how disengaged he was and how junior he actually vs what we pay him. After some further investigation, we are afraid he lied on his resume and how his experience. How do you go about a situation such as this? This is a first for me.
Is there a way to verify an email address without sending emails? I need to verify A TON of emails, but don’t need to actually send them emails myself.
Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)
Applied for a UK visa about 3 weeks back. Looks like there is no means to check the status now. I still have 2 weeks for my travel, but any recent experience with the process? Paid email query useful?
Long week, and had a lot of work to do. Had no plans and just wanted to drink, exercise and relax... Made an audible call to stay over in the hotel tonight and train home tomorrow.
So there is likely no impact to deloitte or similar consulting firms based on the new 3 year to 1 year extension rule? Just saw the email from Deloitte immigration on this. Any thoughts?

Laid off. Applying to jobs. Besides networking, what are the top job search platforms/websites? There’s LinkedIn, indeed, monster and Glassdoor. Anything else I’m missing or which is the “best”?
If you are feeling sick or something during the day and WFH, do you feel comfortable napping it off and then getting back to work and working late if needed? I have friends that say this is totally normal and okay but I feel weird about it and can never actually rest to feel better if I do lay down
If I have a solid history of work experience but don't have a college degree would FAANG companies consider me?
Austin parents, what was your agency parental leave like? Who has the best and who has the worst? Curious to know how the big agencies in town compare.
What is the standard fee for a recruiter? I'm trying to determine what I should ask for in terms of a signing bonus. I didn't use a recruiter.
UK 🐠, what is the process of switching jobs on Tier 2 visa? At what stage should I resign from current job? (After receiving offer letter, after receiving CoS, etc.) Since my notice period is 3 months, what start date should I ask for the new job? If I had the capital, I would open an airline, this industry is ripe for disruption. No doubt the US carriers can't survive in the global market. Can we have Emirates run domestic routes here?
Anyone looking for experienced case partners? My go-to’s have given up (radio silence for pipeline). Interviewed with MBB in undergrad & trying again as a lateral, want to stay fresh. Please DM me if interested & have least 20 cases under belt - thanks & good luck everyone!
I’m trying to decide if I should go with my husbands or my health insurance plan. After doing a matrix, I know the main thing really is the contracted rates which is really hard to find out. How do
Only have a couple days to prepare for MBB interview, any tips on how to best utilize my time? Pushing back unfortunately not an option. I understand case structure, but not necessarily strong in any aspect, should I focus on being very engaging to outweigh that? Any advice would be much appreciated

If you're going to IAH terminal A this morning: joker doing TSA pre check and priority lanes is doing 4 pre check for every 1 priority - don't do priority lane or you'll miss your flight (like me😭)
Why are people in C&M getting paid more than people in CD&O even when they have the same job on a project?
Is it normal that engagement Managers own absolutely nothing? My EM on this current case made absolutely no slides/doesn’t even know where the analysis sheets are. He’ll also look to me to divide the work, oversee the associates, double check their work before Worth noting that we have infrequent client touch points so he’s not busy on that end either
