It’s hard to explain why martech ad hoc requests can’t just be turned around last minute the way some marcomm projects can be. I have 8 years of experience and should honestly report to someone else (Director) who understands my skillset and can help me build upon it. Besides a transfer, how else can I deal with this?

When and how do you push back on people senior to you? Fifth year dealing with supersenior associate (11th year) who completely lacks good judgment & common sense. One of those super smart but impractical types. As just one example, he recently called me to tell me to call someone who’s on vacation and ask them to send a calendar invite.
