For those who have lateraled to MBB or a Tier-2 firm (ATK/S&/OW/LEK/etc) - how did you find time to prep for case interviews if you’re staffed on an intense project?

Does anyone else balk a little bit when applying for jobs and the recruiter or job description mentions a lot of blog writing and other content like that?

I prepared a presentation for an interview with a sales leader, it went well and I was offered a final interview with regional manager. The sales leader I interviewed with gave me a bunch of feedback, but said to find out information about tech stack, which I for some reason, didn’t consider. I come to find out that deep, hidden within the website of the hypothetical client, they use the service already. Do I roll into the final interview and play dumb or do i present and then come clean?

Is there any difference in the interview process (including evaluation) for generalist vs. specialist positions at McKinsey right now?

I want to know how UBS (UK) reach out to you for interview purposes I mean through a phone call or over the email.

Networking: I’m trying to build a network with MBB employees but I’m searching for roles in another country where I’ve got minimal school connections. Should I start by building a network in my home country and ask them if they can put me in touch with someone in my target location? Or just go straight to people in my intended location with cold requests/emails? Thoughts and views welcome!

Does anyone have any good ideas for client appreciation gifts for certain mile stones that don’t break the bank besides a gift card? i.e. when they have been with me for 1 year

Can you leave as an A2 to an audit client that you’re not on the team

At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). One of my friend who is a doctor & is an international med graduate. He passed his United States Medical Licensing Exams with above average scores. He has applied fr the match last yr & was nt able to match. Match process costs around USD10k; this year he is applying again after borrowing funds frm different sources bt he is under tremendous pressure to get match.
