Are you passionate about becoming an attorney? Once you know your “why” the answer will be in front of you.

This is the way
One way to think about whether law school is worth it is to look at your return on investment. How much is it going to cost you to go law school? Are you paying in cash or financing it? How much income will you lose while in school and studying for the bar? How much can you realistically expect to make as a new lawyer? How long will it take you to break even?

The job market for both positions is going to be fairly similar, bad now but could improve in the future. So I wouldn't go just because you can't get a job as a paralegal. You should only go if the job you want requires it.
As someone who went to a T5, go to the best lawschool that gives you a free ride.
Keep grinding. Only go to law school if you very much want to be a lawyer.
If you get a scholarship, sure. But my law achool education cost me around $150k and it took me 6 years as a lawyer to hit a six figure salary. If I could go back I would have explored other career options.
Update: Today I was notified my credit score decreased because my student loan balances increased. Even though I’ve never missed a payment, my payments are not enough to cover the interest. I also now owe about $10k more than I did when I graduated.
I would actually say no. AI will eventually take over most of the transactional work and litigation is cut throat. If you have access to a mentor (and a job maybe) then I’d consider it but also keep in mind the $150K commitment and the bar. I’ve been an attorney for a few years now and wish I just went into sales of some sort. Most of my non attorney friends make more than we do anyway.
If the only choices are be a paralegal or an attorney - go to law school. Attorneys are eventually not abused and make decent money. As a paralegal you’ll always be working the hours of an associate for a lot less pay. Do you really want 80 hour work weeks at 50 years of age? It’s exhausting.
UNLESS you are a woman who wants kids and to raise them. Then you need a stay at home husband or you choose the abuse of being a paralegal to have kids.
I would try to find work as a legal assistant first because it doesn't get any easier as you move up the ladder. I am still looking for a full time stable role after graduating law school in 2023. I never had a problem finding legal assistant or paralegal work during law school, and now I cant even apply for those roles anymore.
