Do you think the burnout is from the work, or the pace, or your specific team? I would try to first identify what's burning you out so you can figure out what to avoid before switching to a new position. If you don't want to go from the frying pan into the fire, so to speak.
I've been thinking of doing some kind of career pivot, just because I don't find my work all that engaging. I mean, I feel like it's the same situations over and over, or the same paperwork piling up in front of me. There has to be some better way to spend my life, to be honest. I was hoping to make a move by now, but with the collapse of the job market this year I wasn't exactly encouraged to try for something new.

It’s hard out there so I understand, keep looking and hopefully something will come your way😊

I knew it was time when the overwhelm felt constant, not seasonal. Reflection helped me see the environment was the issue, not my capability.

Yeah and then you go into survival mode which is no good.

More the work pace and the job itself, the team isn’t much of an issue. Yeah that’s a good point.

For me, the turning point was when the work drained me more than it developed me. If the environment prevents you from showing up as the version of yourself you value, it is worth exploring a change. Burnout carries its own message.
Trust your gut.
