I would doubt any of the Big 4 or publicly listed professional services firms would (I’m sure some have in “the good ‘ol days”).
However, you could probably justify it yourself if you honestly think it’ll generate significant business and therefore greater comp (bonuses, partnership, etc.)
What are the initiation fees like in TX? I’ve been inquiring for clubs near Chicago and they’re pretty steep.
PwC 1 damn where do you live?
Yeah covering a round of golf is much different than an initiation fee. My two thoughts are 1) add up all the rounds your firm has covered and show them it’s the same or more than an initiation fee. You could potentially be saving them money. 2) pay for it yourself and later show your higher ups that you’ve taken X clients out over the past number of months. This has saved the firm Y dollars and led to Z sales. Knowing all of this now, you would like to ask for some sort of reimbursement or bonus to help cover it.
I know of a few CEOs who’s company covers this expense, with the club usually in another state, conveniently located in between they’re office and they’re out of state home. If your a ceo sure it’s doable, as a rank and file worker chances are slim.
