Coming from HR background moving on to the Big 4… management and executives really do prefer people that make it to the office more than they work from home. Work from home is often more of an incentive to trump other offers that are received but if your partner had a choice I can almost guarantee they’d prefer in office/not working remotely. Depends on if you’re interested in climbing the ladder or staying where you are though too.

I work at KPMG and was told that I will not be promoted (from senior associate 2 to 3), but received pay rise as someone who was promoted. I am so proud person that immediately after knowing that I will not be promoted, I wrote resignation. What is your action plan in this case? Will you resign? And I am not afraid of being unemployed, I have some cash for such case.
