Seems aggressive. But if you like the company and the terms I don’t see the harm in accepting verbally so you can actually receive the written offer. If you don’t like the written offer you can always just not sign/decline and then move on.
Thanks
Getting a verbal offer on the spot is great! Being expected to answer on the spot is not. Nothing wrong with being extended a verbal offer on the spot, asking for a reasonable no. of days to consider, and then after verbally accepting, doing so formally in a written way.
I’ve been interviewing a lot recently and every company that’s extended a verbal offer has told me no written offer will be given until I verbally accept.
They definitely haven’t expected me to accept on the spot, but I think that’s normal to avoid wasting time doing paperwork
Thank you!
I had a similar scenario where recruiter told me I had a verbal offer but wanted my word of acceptance in order for them to go ahead and draft the offer. Was a red flag and very aggressive I turned it away
Not a fund admin.
Also didn’t accept on the spot. Basically my recruiter was too eager and the firm was actually more reasonable
I hated fund accounting for what it’s worth
