Hi there. Ex Deloitte Sr Mgr here, currently in tech pre sales (SaaS / MarTech). Recently spoke to both Salesforce and Adobe recruiters for roles that I thought were lateral moves (Sr SA / Sr SC), therefore I did not proceed with the selection process. The recruiters from both companies told me they typically hire at that level, and people are considered for promotion to Principal in 1 to 2 years. I found that odd. Is that right? What’s the typical TC for SAs and SCs there? (15+ yrs exp).

Tips on negotiating a lateral offer?
I would agree, always negotiate after you been given a offer. The lowest number is what you would be comfortable with, the highest number would be the prefect number checking off all boxes. Remember you are worth it. Never just accept. You have nothing to loose with negotiating.

Thank you for sharing this important information and advice.
Relocating under financial and mentally pressure is extremely challenging, especially when a previous employer has been difficult and created instability. Unfortunately, there are employers who exploit kind and considerate employees without disregard for labor laws.
How am I even supposed to explain and approach a relocation to an area with a higher cost of living, and begin a new life, particularly given the challenges I faced due to mentally and physically labor law exploitive employer?" I also feel uncertain about how to start a conversation with prospective employers regarding of situation and how to trust an employer? Is the question that been on my mind..
