Look at the rest of Herman Miller’s line (maker of Aeron). There are less expensive options. Or just splurge - it has great resale value if you ever don’t want it
Steelcase makes good ones, what price point? This is probably the most impactful thing to spend extra on in your home office, but there are plenty of ergonomic brands out there
I got a 2nd hand aeron at an office sale for half the cost. Other than the real deal, I’d say the $100-150 chairs at office/depot/max have usually done me well. Since you’ll be off the road, work in some exercise time daily, that should help too.
I have an Aeron and it is worth it. Comes with lifetime guarantee.
Test drive the ergonomic chairs at DWR. Just did this at the suggestion of my architect husband and ordered the Setu chair though it has not yet arrived.
I recently bought the new high back Herman Miller Cosm and *love* it. Was a little wary because it was still a new design and I didn’t like their last one that much, and no regrets whatsoever
