If not, can do it with SQL and/or VBA - not so elegant by today's standards but perfectly reliable
Have built many a VBA solution for this type of thing
Partly existing VBA use at the client, partly PQ was lesser known until last few years even though it was released in like 2010 or something.
Agree though that would probably work well as well, subject to specific data shape.
Bizarre as it is to say, VBA gives a perfect level of control in being able to pull out specific cell ranges from worksheets that can be hard to achieve with other tools if the worksheet structures aren't fairly clean.
Engineers would consider it solving the wrong problem, but have to consider client environment (they won't put time and effort into changing the structure of their reporting output just because I ask them to, even with a business case)
So Anaplan wasn’t the panacea it was marketed to be, huh?
