Yes cast iron or SS. Anything else has some type of forever chemical or other harmful coating. I did a lot of research and ended up with le creuset and staub.
Pro
There is no non stick coated pan that will last more than ~2 years. Even without regular use the coating degrades over time.
Get a stainless steel set and learn to use it. If you properly preheat it, it will act nonstick as well. Get 1-2 cast iron pans (10in and 12in). Then get lower end non stick 10in pan from a reputable brand. As soon as you see any scrapes or markings in it, toss it and get a new one.
All Clad has a factory seconds store that brings the price down considerably. Buy a couple of the specific items you need instead a cheaper set that includes pieces you won’t use. Also pick up a cast iron.
