Got an offer at PayPal for Sr. Machine Learning Scientist role in BLR. They base I could negotiate to is 54 LPA excluding gratuity. On top of that they’re offering a 10% AIP & 55k USD worth of RSU. Does that sound like a fair deal? I have been in an Indian e-commerce for about 3 months, at 50 LPA base + 5 LPA AIP. Have been seeing a lot of attrition in my current data science team for last 1 month, that’s why agreed to go forward with the interviews when this opportunity came. Plz help out.

When you recruiters say at the end of a 15 min call.
“I will get back to you by the end of this week” does that really mean “your not right for this position”? Because this whole thing is a waste of time. I’ve did these calls with 3 recruiters and is yet to hear back from someone. Today would be the 4th recruiter that I’ve spoken to. Does this practice annoy you guys just as much as it does us? My dream career is to be a technical recruiter but this whole thing is discouraging.

From interview perspective, I enjoyed lucidworks interview as the interviews taken by quality people compared to other two companies. But it is a startup.

So I finished my 3rd interview with a company and the TA specialist said they loved me but can’t meet me at my bottom line salary, however, I said I can negotiate and she said she’s going to speak with the decision makers and see if they’re okay with that. What does this mean? This is for a marketing specialist role. I’m asking for $70K bottom line
