Got an offer for a Strategy Analyst position at a non-profit. I'm really excited about the role/company but they have bad glassdoor reviews (though most are from non relevant positions). Should I risk it for the "dream role"?

I have 2 YOE and I'm not enjoying consulting at my current company (hate traveling, don't like the work, bad managers, no wlb)

100% take it. Glassdoor doesn’t mean squat. And esp if you hate current role what is worst that can happen? You go to another non profit or back to consulting. Don’t let fear get in the way of you accomplishing your goals/dreams

Love the reply, thanks for the help!

Pay attention to the reviews for patterns but don't use that as your only source. Talk to people at the firm, try to get under the surface. Ultimately your direct boss matters more than anything so make sure like him / her.

Consulting is not going anywhere. Leave on good terms so you can come back if you really need to

Considering taking a position with a small-cap in the US trying to build their legal department. The title is standard “counsel” although the work would be with the senior leadership team and reporting to the GC in Europe. How reasonable is it to ask for a bump in title - Senior counsel or Head of Legal, US? If it matters, I am a 6th year and have been told that I will be expected to hire a junior or paralegal as we build up.

Hi all, looking for advice on… well everything career related 😔 it’s the “great resignation” and people are moving on to better things all around me. I’ve been actively searching and interviewing for at least 6 months, and no offers after final round. I’m struggling to stay motivated to search and fake enthusiasm in interviews, and I’m still increasingly miserable in my new job. I think I need a career coach - any solid recos? Or is it even a career coach I need to help me get on track?

I have discussed the mid-career crisis aspect and think I'm still there, I just do not care about the job anymore.
