I had an interview w/ the Hiring Manager at Boston Consulting Group for a position and it went so well that the HM said on the spot I was going to be moving onto the next round. Its been weeks since that interview & I've had to follow up w/ the recruiter 3x asking for an update. I mentioned interviewing elsewhere but prioritizing BCG. He finally responded to that saying he was going to debrief with the HM and get back to me but nothing... what gives?
Is it SAFE joining Wipro as technical lead (B3) with 37LPA? Knowing that package is pretty high as compared to collogues in same band. HR is not ready to give project manager(C1) position.
Appreciate your suggestions/input.
Would there be any scope of increment going forward?

And what is T1.5 lol.. you are thinking way too hard about tiers and title. Can you live off of what they are paying you? Do you see a growth opportunity there? If the answers are no then stay put but if this is the best offer (and you say it is) then this is your market rate and level.

I’m not super excited about the firm but it’s located conveniently for me and people are nice there. I don’t think that it will grow a lot now. It’s losing share to its main competitor, but will exist probably for a while.

7 YOE and a director at PwC? How feasible is that. If you can get promoted to the Director level next year then best to stick it out until then

You can exit right after you get promoted just as you're planning to now.

What’s the company? That’s not super high for SF
It’s absolutely doordash
How long is your runway at PwC, and what's your current TC? Is the new job what you want, just 2 years of relevant experience could help you more than 2 more years of consulting. You could probably land the same role, or one better in a year or two, but waiting that long carries risks.
Also, don't worry about the title when switching industries or functions. Focus on the money.
Your title in consulting is irrelevant in landing tech roles. They look at your skills, work experience, and YOE, and for 7 YOE, that sounds about right.

Post mba. And 4 years prior.
I’ve seen several people moving to big tech (not Faang) director role from big four M/SM level, especially the market is hot now. Also, if you can get promoted to director next year, why miss that
