Just scheduled a meeting to go over an offer for a Senior Engineer role. When asked what I would need to make in order to leave my current job, I said at least $160k depending on benefits (I know I shouldn't have given a number).

I make a little over $145k now, plus stock options, a monthly home office stipend (fully remote), and your usual health benefits.

Assuming their benefits are comparable to my current position, have I given up all negotiation power by providing the initial number?

A colleague and I were tasked with rolling out an ongoing training. I’ve done 90+% of the work and am annoyed she’s receiving credit by the broader team. I am interested in moving to another state and realized that this state has one of the most restrictive reciprocity rules in the country. I've passed multiple bar exams. However, I won't get any credit for time I worked in CA because CA isn't reciprocal. I swore I'd never take another bar after taking CA - and now I have to take another exam if we move. I worked in big law in CA for two years and get no credit! Yet the exam has been waived for new grads for COVID. It sure limits our move.

Can anyone give me honest feedback on what being a copywriter is like at FCB Health NY? I have an interview but looking on here all I see is *really* negative feedback, so I’m very apprehensive. Glassdoor has a lot of bad reviews too. I’m currently at a smaller agency and I like it, but getting the itch to move up in salary & have more opportunities to produce good work. Tempted by FCB for those reasons, but value work/life balance.

What’s the difference between FCB Health and, say, Area 23? Does 23 get ALL the awards and fame?

Serious question: Why’d we have to migrate our network logins to FCB Health in addition to our emails? Couldn’t we have just started listing our emails as “@fcbhealth” but logging in as “@FCB”?
Our old emails instantly forward to our current ones, so I don’t see why it couldn’t be the other way.

Why are town Hall meetings so impersonal? They are all about awards / the number of people hired. I know FCB health is large, but we never hear from people who aren’t Executives. Last town hall, when discussing inclusion efforts, there were no people of color represented and one of the 4 pillars of diversity was centered around our “reputation as an organization” (that really rubbed me the wrong way). At my last agency those conversations were always led by people of color from every level.
