CEO has alluded to me being a great CoS based on recent exp, and longer term COO and has asked if I’m going to find the EA role limiting. Do I address my interest in the CoS role, plus gaps in my experience or do I focus on the EA role and finding opps to add value outside of EA responsibilities without stepping on the CoS toes? I really want to work for this CEO & don’t want to talk myself out of the EA job

Hello people of San Diego! Would love to hear how y’all are affording to live here comfortably. Please state your company, position, TC, YOE, and do you have a side hustle? I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at. I’d like to “make it” here but if it means switching career to make money I’d like to get an idea to make the right job change.

I recently graduated with a bachelors in finance, and have recently got hired (5 months ago) as a financial analyst. Realistically I do FP&A for a company. I have realized I am not a huge fan of doing non stop spreadsheet all day. Am thinking I’d enjoy my career more by becoming a financial planner and getting my CFP certification. Maybe in the future opening up my own firm. Any advice on what career move to make next in order to accomplish this? CFP requires 3 years of relative experience.

So guess what....I wanted to start my career in the field of ML and Data Science. Got enrolled in a PG certificate program for the same.

Fast forward - only 1 month for the program to get completed. They really taught well. Info in comment about it, if needed

My question is with my YOE being only 1.5 years as an application developer, will the program even benefit me? I do feel confident with my knowledge but anywhere I see , they ask like 3-5 YOE for a decent salary say 8lpa+.
