I have both and they’re totally different. MBA is the most expensive networking event on earth but can have a great return. CFA is pretty technical and impactful but in a more narrow manner. If not in equity research or investment management, I don’t see the CFA as being a significant career accelerant.
No they’re two different things. CFA is more for credibility in the investments and research field. MBA is more for moving up or into a different field.
Feel free to dm me. I am an active advocate against the CFA. Unless you are at a job you love that is sponsoring you to do it, ab advanced degree is almost always better. It’s 3 years of terrible awfulness with a marginal benefit.
