Gotta say, optics-wise Carney is killing it.

Depends on which echo chamber you’re in

I originally leaned (and hoped) for Carney but ive seen enough to determine he'll mostly be a figurehead and depend on his party for policies (i.e. last 10 years).

He's excellent in bilateral relations.. and little to no knowledge/experience on drugs, crimes, most importantly how his spending policies as an advisor and policies in BOC and BOE with low interest rates created hot inflation and unaffordability.

I hope all Canadians wear their big pants and vote based on informed understanding of policies vs whos more charming and charismatic. I regretfully voted for the latter past 10 years.

Tapping the sentiment. USA drama is being perfectly "tapped" by him. Pierre cannot maneuver past his strong anti-green initiatives as that was his major play.. However, none can address cost of living and housing affordability

When things get scary / unpredictable, most people tend to look for the safest option. I can’t remember a better “safe pair of hands” federal candidate than Mark Carney.

Liberal party achievements from 2015 to 2025: food bank use= 100 percent increase (doubled). Housing price increase= 62%. Government Debt to GDP ratios: went from 31% to 69.4%. government employee total jobs growth: 40%. Services in health care, transit and infrastructure significantly reduced in that same period. nothing more unsafe to a Canadian than a re-electing of the liberal government. Stop voting based on your feelings and start voting based on results. Country has gone to shit this last decade.

PP is now seen as far right , more now due to Trump’s shenanigans, and no one wants MAGA style racist, one sided execution either. Frankly both sides are on extreme spectrum, but I will take an educated man over a career politician

New to Toronto, moved to the west end of town/ just past - in Etobicoke. I celebrate my 40th a few days after NYE/NYD - would love some recommendations on moderately priced but nice ambiance restaurants for myself + husband, and my extended family. Everyone is scattered throughout (Hamilton, Barrie, Lyle, Newmarket, North York). Don’t want anything too fancy but don’t really know where or what is good and not downtown.

Any recommendations? (Open to GTA of course).

Curious to know what you've seen as working to non working dollars split in Canadian agencies. Reference any specific brands (or categories) if you can. I'm used to seeing the conventional 15-20% split for non working (production dollars only, not including media budget, agency fees) but are those days gone now with the takeover of digital (vs traditional) ad placements?

I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

Thank you all!
