Greetings to you all.

I am a practising lawyer with more than twenty years of professional experience. I have recently arrived in the United Kingdom and have already completed the process of having my law degree recognised. I am now very eager to continue working in the legal field here.
Is there anyone who could offer guidance or advice on how to begin this journey, or point me in the right direction?

If you use the pomodoro method for time focus and tracking, do you bill in those increments or just keep your billablr timer going the whole time? For example, I work in 25 minute increments for large projects then I get a break. Do I bill .5 for that increment and restart my billing or keep my billing continuously going thereby not rounding up for those 5 min? I have just kept my timer going.

I am a new (lateral) associate at a small firm where everyone currently works from the office. When I started, I wasn’t told specific firm hours. I’ve tried to figure out when to come and go based upon when the partners arrive and leave, but their schedules are very inconsistent. The other associates don’t have helpful guidance for me. Assuming that if I ask the partners they’ll say to use my discretion, what are reasonable hours to keep?
