💯 yes, many, but not all, firms have a permanent remote hiring strategy.

Happy to share more for anyone who wants to ask in thread or DM.

Is anyone looking to hire someone for remote work immediately? I’ll take anything. I work for a parish government and it’s sooooo hard to accrue time off. I’m an extremely hard worker. I just never have time for dentist appointments, doctor appointments, or even personal things like exercise because I spend all my time commuting and in a physical office. I can send a resume and/or CV ASAP.

Some questions:

1. Which one offers job security?
2. How is it like working with them?(WLB/teammate/culture/support for career growth)
3. Which Business Unit I should avoid?(known for its horrible wlb)

Anyone changed jobs recently that made you go back fully in-person? Has it been ok, or do you wish you did hybrid/remote? Have an offer making me face this. I’m so used to the relaxed at home atmosphere that having to wake and get ready, wear real clothes, pack lunch and drive every day sounds not super fun.

Started job during pandemic Mar 2021, quit (needed a break), came back to same company after a month (needed the cash + liked the people). Didn't get the same project management type responsibility and was given operations responsibility in the new job.

Realized today, I don't like managing people/operations.

Now I'm just in a rut, do I swap industries completely? (Been considering UX design) Do I wait out for a bit further? Pandemic has ruined jobs for me from WFH.
