Welcome to in house life. Ive been at my inhouse job for 10 years and no chance of promotion unless boss leaves or his boss leaves etc. Easy job tho, barely work 15-20 hours at busiest. Make 450+ TC. I plan to coast. I dont need more work/responsibility and just want to enjoy life/family.
Nah corporate M&a and securities caps out way higher than commercial
Two years is not too soon. One year isn't even. Look at other in-house councils LinkedIn profiles. People hop around a lot, although it depends on the industry. 2 years is definitely plenty of time
Hoppity hop hop
280 MCOL seems good, no?
I'd apeoach job hopping in this economy with a degree of skepticism and caution. Everyone and their moms are looking to streamline orgs via ai efficiencies so anywhere that's looking now is probably expecting anyone who joins to be able to handle significant work amount I'd imagine. So you may get 25 or 50k higher in base pay. Bonus at 40% - you'll struggle to find a higher%. And there may or may not be equity - although I feel equity at individual contributor roles is not ubiquitous these days
