A good way to say it is "personal growth". You can say that the current organisation isn't contributing enough to your personal growth.

Perfect! Thank you so much brother...
be crude and confident in saying “Looking for better compensation which should complement my skills”
Personal growth is too generic and would invite more counter questions or an impression that you are shying away to specify financial growth as main reason to switch.

Agreed with the answer above. Be blunt. Say that you are looking for a better compensation. Why do we all do job in the first place? "Personal Growth" ke liye aur bhi chize kar skte hai. We do job mainly for 1 reason. Paisa. Paisa chahiye boss.

Haan correct😂
I've been trying to say " career groom" for past 2 years. In all the interviews, The interviewver will drill down with more questions. They know the answer and will ask purposely. I have lost my temper lot of times and we will not be in a position to say for salary as final answer.
Be brave and confident
Say like "To be honest, I understood that compensation which I recieve is not upto market standards for the tech stack I work. So I am looking for next job which will stabilize me financially and also provide me an opportunity to know and learn about new client, new challenging scenarios, new people, etc"
If you don't get the opportunity think like you have failed in technical round. Of course everyone know that candidates are here for salary growth. If they are fine with your technical knowledge and budget they will definitely choose you.
