I’m very excited about the role but didn’t realize I’d need to take a pay cut when I applied (~100k base + ~20k bonus + ~60k equity vs. 90k base + 10-20k bonus). Considering that I currently work 40-60 hours/week, I’ll be making significantly less per hour at the MBB. At my school there are buttons being passed out that say, “She/her, he/him they/them.” I have no problem with anyone wearing these buttons but I don’t like feeling pressure to wear one myself. No one is telling me to wear one but people talk about how inclusive it is to wear one and most staff do. How do you deal with a manager who always blame you for actions that the manager instructed me to do in the past? E.g. manager reviews client decks with you and instructs to just note a strict budget to report. After a week, manager rereads the same deck and blames me for not supporting the budget that was added per the manager’s request. We always have this situation, no matter how much I ask for clarity in any internal reviews. I even sent back the emails and slack chats as an attachment.
