Considering a move to Austin from Dallas. Been multiple times but not familiar with the areas for a home in budget. Looking at 3bd/2ba homes for +/-500k. Still in my 20s so not wanting to go full suburbs but I’m aware of the reality of real estate in ATX. Any areas that you would recommend for a standalone house for a young person? Have come across North Austin near the domain, university hills ish to the east, and south austin. Open to any suggestions thanks!

Kinda unique situation. I received an offer to return to the company I was with before b school (small professional services firm, not well known) after over a year in consulting post-MBA. The offer is for head of strategy and ops, same salary as my current salary (~200k), plus options and 25% bonus. I know the people there and like them a lot, and the role is interesting as they enter high growth mode and pivot to becoming more of a product company through M&A. My concern is (cont. in comments)
