Happy to be focused on wrapping up the current year but also been considering future market conditions and potential opportunities....With the year coming to a close, what do you anticipate will be the biggest trends or challenges in deal flow for our industry in the first quarter of the new year?

The Fed's decisions on interest rates will significantly impact deal financing and valuations. If rates stabilize or decrease, we might see increased M&A activity.

I think AI will surely follow us into the next year. There was a lot of interest and we're likely to see continued interest in AI-related acquisitions and also potential consolidation in the tech sector with all companies seeking to strengthen their AI capabilities.

The lowering of interest rates should indicate an uptick in deals. But there's also a wariness about what promises to be a pretty chaotic year. There could be a government shutdown in March (now that one was narrowly averted) and the promised tariffs could create a boatload of complications. I would not be surprised if a lot of people proceeded pretty cautiously until we find out just how radical and chaotic things will be.

How do you answer the question about yourself in i-944 where you can indicate "self" and it asks you if you live with said individual "self", and if this individual is filing for an immigration benefit with you or has in the past (again it's weird because you're talking about yourself.. ).

Hi, I have approx 9 years of experience and given 3rd round of interview which was director round in last week for Senior Software Engineer position. I went well and he mentioned that feedback is good, they will match CTC of 37 LPA which is offered by other organization and also give good number of RSU's.

I wanted to know following things:

How much time they take after director round for further process?
How much RSU's I can expect and how's its value is calculated in qualys?

I am starting to question my existence in this world. I have a nice job, decent salary, i work out and eat healthy, maintain my health, read 3 to 4 books every month, dont have any personal commitments (single), in my early 30s and things cant be any better. Of course with the exception that i had a real bad break-up with my fiancé 6 months ago. And i dont have any symptoms of depression, but there are days when i just feel like what is all this for?

Looking for advice: I have an analyst (9 months on the job) who still doesn’t get it - repeatedly misses comments, doesn’t follow instructions, slow, etc. I have raised this to both my MDs and they seem to be adopting a “not my problem” approach when I mention it. I had advised against hiring this analyst post internship and my MD insisted that all the issues I highlighted were fixable. I have tried teaching him to no avail and frustration with him is growing. Any suggestions for how to handle?

I can really use some direction. My background, I've worked 2 years in strategy and am currently coming off an exhausting year 2 in investment banking. I didn't particularly enjoy either role and am not interested in moving over to the buy-side or some monotonous FP&A role. Everybody says there's exit-ops aplenty, but I find myself with less options and even more picky than I did as an ambitious T2 undergrad student. Where do I go from here?
