I am in final stage to get offer from Microsoft India ( CSCP) as Data and Applied Scientist. HR asked me my expectations, I just wanted to know how much salary I can expect.

Education : M.S. Statistics
Experience : 8 years in Statistics , Data Science
Current CTC : 46 Lacs ( 42 fixed + 4 bonus + No stocks
I am not aware of Microsoft payband, need your help in salary negotiation. Microsoft

They send you extensive prep material, focus on that. It's really easy if you are well prepared with their material.
Also, if they haven't sent you the materials, then your coordinator isn't that good. Ask them for it and they'll be able to. FB has highly standardized and transparent recruiting process. I, for one, had a superb experience.
For tech-related roles, they look for understanding of principles and overall breadth of skills. I got a douchy vibe from a few of the folks who I interviewed with. Can't speak to more business-related roles

Neither, recruiter actually found me on LinkedIn. Didn't get an offer, but I made it to last round. Just like manager 1 mentioned, it was a very transparent process for me
