Yes, long hours are normalised by everyone in the industry. Research well about the agency you wish to join. Understand the work pattern, talk to previous employees and make the best decision.
Sadly that’s an unsaid rule that everyone follows in advertising. Working late is a given. There are very few teams that manage their time well. And they are also not well accepted for doing so.
It really depends, a good growing agency normally has people working for longer hours, but at the same time also looks after the fun perks for their employees. Also advertising is a field of ideas, it seems difficult to make it a 9-5 job 😅
Hey there fellow newbie. Its been a year for me in the industry so far and I still haven't come to full acceptance of the idea of working for long working hours and also working over the weekend at times. But i have been told that this is the norm. So currently id suggest you to go with the flow, and enjoy the burn
