Hi Fishes, Any senior staff engineer here, role associate project manager at Nagarro. I would like to know more details about project allocation and work you do. I recently got selected as one. I can see a lot of heat from developers against nagarro here but what about mid level management such as associate project manager!??
TIA

Wipro hiring for Testing roles

So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

What? How would that work? Why would they even take that call? I’d send a note saying you really were hoping for it, Reiterating why you’d be an asset and saying that if for any reason they changed their mind you’d jump at the chance. That’s as low as I’d go.
If someone called me after I chose another candidate and tried to argue me into changing my mind I’d not even consider them if the other offer fell through. I’d be totally weirded out.
You sound easily weirded.
That is how I got my last job. I messaged the creative director because they said I didn't have as much experience as they wanted. I was in town and asked to take them out to coffee. At the end of coffee they said I could freelance at some point. Two weeks later I emailed them to say I was going to be in town if they needed at on site work, they gave me what really amounted to being a copy/concept test disguised as a pitch they were working on. After it was over they asked to hire me full time and I was there for 3 years
There's no shame in it if you have no shame, and you work in a field that requires it, so why not?
Not sure. I probably wouldn't at this level and function because it may be more about personality fit. Maybe give us a bit more context so we can give a more informed advice but as stated, it doesn't seem like a good move/worth it. Now, when it comes to situations like the copywriter above, I think that's exactly how it should be approached. For OP at this stage I'd say, send a nice note to let them know you'd love to stayin touch and to contact you if future opportunities arise. Then I'd email them to network / meet for coffee in like 3 months.
Yeah I did. It worked but it took six more months and another round of interviews with the team
