Has anyone ever been dishonorably discharged from service? What was it for? Care to share what happened?

Dishonorable discharges are rare during peacetime. The higher-ups would rather deal with less paperwork so they usually issue a general discharge to speed up the process instead of spending extra hours get rid of people who committed misconduct during their service. Unless something really bad is involved, like murder. Fortunately I haven't served with a person who was done that.

Nope. But one of my colleagues was. He violated some of our protocols and disclosed confidential information.
