Has anyone moved internally at their company in a lateral format and successfully negotiated a salary?

Lateral move - company wants to keep me at current salary, which hasn’t changed in 4 years and it is below market value for new role based on Glassdoor data.

Offer for new role is at same base (which is 40K less than what I make now due to no comp structure).

What’s your targeted OTE? With 4 years or experience I’d definitely apply at other companies. I’d be fuming had I not gotten a raise for 4 years. How is the salary for the new role 40K less than what you’re making now if it’s a lateral move?

Thanks for this! It’s because I’d be going from an associate level sales role, into an associate level professional role, internally. So the company recognizes it as a “lateral move” and would only pay me my base salary + a small annual bonus. In the sales role I would be making 30-40k more, but that’s all commission. Any raises I received over the last 4 years in the sales role were all recognized within the comp plan, not my base salary. I think that’s why I’m not happy with the lateral move position only offering to pay me a base that was the same number from 4 years ago.

I made a lateral move a few years ago although not with the company anymore I negotiated an 18% increase. Got 10% for the “move” plus an extra 8% merit. I was very lucky that the new FY was about to start…

I've been a government attorney for nearly three years now and have worked in the same office/division since I passed the bar. I've yet to receive a promotion other than two cost of living increases (in sum, a pay increase of 6k over 3 years). I know this is meager, but I'm mostly ok with it, I just want to see some recognition. On the other hand, it's hard for me to imagine negotiating because (given my inexperience), I don't feel I'd be able to do better anywhere else. Any advice?

I have heard from friends working in different companies about Synechron. Employees working hours are very closely monitored at Synechron.

Employees have to spend 9 hours inside Office rather than Synechron premise.

Also, employees have some app installed in their virtual machines which tracks the duration for which they were logged in.

Is this true?Wanted to confirm from someone who are working with Synechron.

Serious question:

As a Registered Nurse with 11 years sales experience, why am I constantly turned down for healthcare-related sales roles? Yet on the flip side, I've gotten tons of offers in industrial or engineering spaces.

I've worked PRN as a nurse while I've been in sales. All of my sales roles were engineering-based in mechanical tools or chemicals. I've sold into various industries (energy, O&G, aerospace, pharma, HI&I, water treatment, etc). Just looking to get back to my roots.

I’ve been in a clinical specialist role for nearly 7 years with several wins. How can I best position myself to transition to sales?

Does anyone know anything about Abbott’s Structural heart/stroke prevention clinical sales specialist role?
