Has anyone negotiated salary even after signing the contract? The times are desperate right now being unemployed is more dangerous than no salary. The salary offered is way too low if i compare the current market. I know but at the moment of hearing you are hired it just gave me an extra boost. Now when i think back i could have negotiated to a point where we could have settled somewhere in between.

So I feel like I want to keep eating something all day. Even though I'm full and not really hungry. It's the thing of chewing I guess. What to do to combat this?

My employers' CEO just announced that they just received $7 million from investors. He wants to use that money to offer incentives to employees that hussle and drive more revenue for the company. We're not sure what those incentives look like yet, but here are some post-announcement rumors from my co-workers:

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?

I’ve been approached my by company that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this? If so, were you able to negotiate a percentage of the consulting fee? Or was it a bump in salary during the project?
