Has anyone (or known of anyone) moved from B4 into a federal gig? Looking to use my B4/CPA background to get into FBI/USSS if possible. Not necessarily as a forensic accountant

Don't do uniformed division of usss unless you want to be bored out of your freakin mind. I figure you probably weren't planning on that though. I'm applying for FBI and/or DEA special agent positions in the next 6 months

Probably not a smart idea to use this app if you're trying to get into the fbi

Maybe if I had something to hide, which I don’t. I could care less if they see this (I.e, an experienced CPA looking to apply).

EY2, what’s your rank at EY? Are you fine with signing their relo policy?

Know someone that went to IRS for a couple of years but not FBI. They left as senior and came back manager

Hey y’all. I went through an exceptionally traumatizing experience a few years ago that has totally & utterly shattered my confidence, self worth, self esteem etc. I have a hard time portraying my work experience + deserving of a new role.

For context, I did well in uni, got into law school but due to finances + the experience in question I didn’t end up going. Kept working in the public sector as a coordinator & now got my scrum master certificate to transfer to SM role in finance/ tech. Help

been in industry (small companies) for 5 years with an active CPA. Wanted to get in SEC reporting roles but almost every company requires 2-year public accounting exp. Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. Is this a dead lock? firms exp matters much more than a CPA license?
